Well I just got home from school today and drove my car. My alarm has been going alittle crazy so I disconnected the sensor in the trunk and it has seemed to solve that problem. Now sometimes my interior lights stay on and start to fade in and out. Also I noticed that everyone once in a while my "mileage trip" thing near the odometer will reset. Nothing happens to the radio so its not a power surge through the whole car. I'm really perplexed by these problems...any suggestions?

Where is that located and what exactly is it? Is it expensive to fix or something that I can do by myself?

(5/16/2003)Now things are getting even wierder. My alarm went off for no reason and i've had the shock sensor disconnected for awhile now b/c it used to go off a few minutes after I armed the alarm. My horn sounds different when I lock the car (It doesn't sound as loud and it only beeps 1 time). The courtesy lights stay on for like 5 minutes after I get lock the car.
(5/17/2003) I went to NAPA today to pick up some seafoam and as soon as I turned into the car parking light my ABS INOP light went on along with my BRAKE light. Then the car just died and wouldn't start. Nothing worked electrically, no lights, no keyless entry..nothing. I went in NAPA and the guy came out and check all the fuses and tested the battery and said it was fine. He tightened the battery and the car started up again...ok I thought it was a loose battery. Then I locked the car with the keyless entry and went in to buy seafoam. When I came out it did the same thing and wouldn't start to I disconnected the battery and it worked again. I drove it home, armed the alarm and it worked fine...nothing seems to be wrong now. Would the Body Control Module going bad have these effects?

Sounds like it's going to be a bear to track...
I'd do the obvious things first. You probably already have. Do a good job cleaning all the terminals and battery wires. Inspect them for corrosion. Be sure to peel back the red and black battery clamp connector covers on the cables and check underneath for corrosion. Check your ground wires. Pull them off and wire brush them and put them back. Do the same with the alternator connections. Pull and reseat the fuses and relays. If any of your lights are out, I'd replace them. If you've done any recent installs and/or electrical work, pay particular attention to those wires and check your work very closely. I'd reconnect the alarm and put everything back like it was. Lastly, I'd take the car to Autozone or someplace that will scan it and see what codes have been set. There might be a clue there. If all that doesn't work, you're going to have to either consult a pro or start tracing every circuit for grounds and shorts. Begin with wear points where stuff goes through the body, etc. and then proceed to heat points around the exhaust, etc. YUK...

Turns out I had a short to ground on circuit 149. Seems my trunk light was grounded.
