Chrysler corporate brought a bunch of zone cars to my building today to do test drives for charity.

I took a Magnum R/T out. Very nice car!

They had a local salesman take the ride with me. I dont think he appreciated my doing the slalom between the light poles in an empty back parking lot.

[Big Grin]

I have on a Firehawk collared shirt for Bear Mountain tonight. Two of the corporate guys actually knew what a Firehawk was.

They asked me to pull it around later so they could see it.

Maybe I'll take a Crossfire out later after lunch.

How much are one of those cars? [Cool]

We looked at em and I really like em! The 6 banger model is under $30,000 and I think the hemi is around $34,000.

I can see some cool looking mods on those Magnums!!! [Big Grin]

I just wish they had more towing capacity.

I like em other than the fact that from the front they look exactly like the 300C.

How did it sound stock? Are they as "throaty" as the commercial tries to imply?

The Magnums are nice cars. I like the looks from the side & the back, but I'm still trying to get used to the grill on the Magnum & 500.

Hemi runs 15.5-16.0 in 1320ft

Seen a few run at Milan Dragway, I guess the magazines are wrong to post times of 13.5

I like the Magnum. Should be easy to Mod, I'm
sure Chrysler performance will have a few
tricks shortly. Looks roomy, quick, and
a good size for a family.

I hope Chrysler learned how to assemble cars and use decent materials in the last few years. M

My '96 Eagle Vision is a.......well....POS. [Roll Eyes]

I saw one this evening on the way home from work. It was dark red with chrome wheels, very very slick looking car. Me likes. [Big Grin]

...I would wager to say that the 425 hp version would come a bit closer to those "magazine" times... [Wink]

Agreed. It would be on my "consider" list if they bumped it to 5,000#.

The other thing I don't understand is why DC doesn't use an aluminum block Hemi for the cars. [Confused]

Depends on what your listening to.

I am considering one, but....

1. they're not coming off sticker price.

2. i've been told the transmission is the weakest link. goodbye [Razz]

3. even though more practical than the SS, I don't think I'd enjoy it the same way and unfortunately can't have both.

I guess I am one of the few that dosen't like the styling on either the 300C or the Magnum. I just don't care for the front end on the 300C and I don't like stationwagons do that's why I don't like the Magnum. I do like MOPARS though and am hoping that I will like the next CHARGER when they introduce it at the Detroit Show in January.

Fair point. In my case, the sales guy didn't shut up until I started doing the slalom, so I guess I didnt get to hear it too closely.
