Was there a Camaro called the "Black Panther"? Some guy said its a very rare car. Is it true?

I've never heard of it, but that doesn't mean it didn't exist. If true, it was most likely a "dealer upgrade" or done by some lesser known aftermarket upgrader.

Edit: A quick search on Google returned this article as the first hit. A Toronto-based dealer offered the upgrades.

I know the Camaro was originally suppose to be called the "Panther" but I didn't know any were actually made.

I remember these cars! Funny thing is that I had always been under the impression that it was only a paint and trim pkg! [Eek!]
