I know we are about 100lbs heaver but I have been having trouble getting a good 60' and searched around some and it looks like most verts I have seen don't 60' well. At least the A4's didn't. Tell me about yours, thanks Alan

The best 60 foot time I ever had in my 1999 Z28 t-top coupe stock with an automatic was a 2.0 60' time.I have done several 2.0 60' times with my bone stock 2002 35th Anniversary LE convertible with an automatic. Both cars had the stock Goodyear tires too. [Cool]
The worst 1/4 run I ever made with the 35th Anniversary was at last years Berger All Chevy Show drags at the brand new U.S. 131 Motorsports Park.I blew the tires off right from the start.Had to pedal the car for more than the 1/8 mile and kept breaking the tires loose and hitting the rev limiter.I ended up smoking the tires for the 1st 1/8 mile.I had both hands on the wheel because the back end of the car was loose ,like it was on ice and I did not want to tag the wall.Funny feeling when the back of the car is moving around at over 70mph.There was so much tire smoke the track announcer even mentioned "That run was sure not fast...but boy was it pretty". I spent over 1 1/2 hours just cleaning the rubber off my rear 1/4 panels and wheel wells.I wished someone took a picture or video of that run. [Cool] Sorry a few of these pictures are big.

I ran my stock 97, SS, Convert., 6 speed, in May, with Kumo ECSTA Supra 712's, 245/50-16's at 22psi. Had consistant 2.1 - 2.2 60' times.
This was right after I purchased the car and was still searching for the right launch procedure, so I'm sure they could be better.

To me the verts seem to get a little better traction. I always get in the 1.9s with my six speed vert with stock tires. I ran against a B4C Scott brought to a track which was a automatic and beat him by about .3 in the 60ft

I don't think they 60' all too differently. Sure, there's more weight to them, but the weight is over the rear tires so it doesn't hurt too bad.

For what it's worth, I cut high 1.5's on motor, and low low 1.5's on the bottle. QTP's rule! [Big Grin]
