ok you know how when you come to a light in an automatic trans, you push the brake in and when u let off it starts to roll forward a little bit, well when i come up to a light and hold down the break, it feels like my whole drive train wants to rip right out from under me. any ideas?

Possibly Torque converter...If it startsd to fail, the car will try to torque the drivetrain.

Depends on application, if it is infact the TC, get an aftermarket (p[erformance) one. FOr no to slightly modded cars, get about a 2800 stall, which will run 300-500 for a decent one. Plus a few hundred for install.(At most) SLP, Yank, and a few others sell em.
