Ive only bought 2 cars, on my own, in my life, I just turned 25, my Dodge Avenger and now my 02 35th LE. I owned a 79 F-100 that my father handed down to me when I turned 16.. it was a farm truck.. stripped with nothing in it, brown paint, not even carpet. Over a couple years time in high school I turned that truck into a bad ass ride, which of course included a new aquamarine blue paint job. Was in a 2 page "retro rides" article, along with a couple other trucks, in Jan 98 Sport Truckin magazine.

I bought my Avenger about 5-6 years ago. When I bought it I was into car audio. I spent $8K on car audio and had no desire to make it fast, I used to compete in car audio. Stock it came with a 2.5L V6, automatic, only had 163hp/170tq, and did the quarter in an embarrasing 16.5 or so. [Embarrassed]

Over the years Ive done a lot to my car.. I show it now and occasionally race it at the track. My Avenger is now currently the fastest 2.5L V6 Avenger in the nation. Last time out I ran a 13.7@102 in 100* weather and spinnin the tires on the bottle... that time beat my friends Sebring, same as Avenger, with a 3.5L, on the bottle, swapped into it by a tenth.

I know its not eye candy to some of ya here... but Im proud of what Ive accomplished with it.

Take the time to look around my link below to see how I transformed this slug into a car that runs decent times now and gets the respect from the V8 guys at the track.

http://www.sounddomain.com/id/avengeance

So with that.. what other cars do you own? Any special stories about them?

Your Avenger looks cool...it's obvious you've put alot of time and work into it.

My other vehicle is a 97 Jeep Wrangler Sport. Just got it about 3 months ago, and retired the Hawk to clear weather. It is the first time I've ever had two vehicles!

Right now I have the 02 Camaro SS, a 96 Impala SS, a 95 Dakota pick up which is my daily driver and the wife has a 99 Monte Carlo. Then there's my 68 Camaro SS/RS L78 that I purchased in July of 1968 and it has a little over 16,000 miles on it. There's a long story for the reason for the low miles on the 68, probably to long and boring for here.

Along the way there has been a lot of other cars, some fun some not. My all time favorite was a 66 Chevy II L79.

I've got my 1995 Midwest Conversion s-10 that is my daily driver and then I still have my 1st car, a 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aerocoupe. Haven't driven her too much this summer though.

I also have a '62 Austin Healey Bug-eye that is in the restoration phase.

Whoever said you couldn't run away from your problems obviously wasn't driving an SS.
