I'm just looking for some recommendations and reviews based on personal experience. I'm getting new wheels and want 4 new tires to go with them. I'm looking for the best overall tire that lasts a while and is good in the rain. Also, price isn't a huge factor but any good bargains (inexpensive quality tires) would be a great help. I will have a set of DR's on different wheels so these tires won't be used at the track and I won't be auto racing so that isn't a concern. Thanks again for the advice/tips!

I went with the Firestone Firehawk SZ-50's EP's 285 x 17. Their wet traction I swear is better than the original F1's were dry. I got rid of the F1's with only 7000 miles on them.

Price no object the best dry weather tires are the BF Goodridge KD's. My choice of all around best would be the Bridgestone RE750. Great dry/wet traction, high treadwear (340) and they are not horribly expensive. I have these tires currently and they are superior to the BFG KDW which was my last set of tires.

If price is no object, I's have to agree with those who recommended the G-Force KDWs. If you want to save a few bucks, I recently put Yokohama AVS ES100s on my Formula, and while I haven't yet put a lot of miles on them I find the wet and dry performance very close to the Firestone SZ50's on my Firehawk, for a price of $130.00 each. That's close to a $200.00 savings over the price of a set of the KDWs...

I have a dry weather SS and the KD's are a very nice tire. Real sticky, not noisy, and decent ride.

You need to check the post I made in the Back Porch. We've just found out that Firestone/Bridgestone are no longer going to be making the Firehawk SZ 50 And also almost every place is now out of stock. The company right now wont even sell any but to people who had OEM applications of them
