I know we've been through this before. I want to buy the lightest/strongest SFC's I can get without mortgaging the house. Suggestions? I want increased handling and stiffness, but not much loss in straight line acceleration.

I had the $249 kenny brown DD subframes in a raw gold finish, and now on my 01 SS I have a set of BMR's in a nice red powdercoated finish (7 other colors available) for $149 bucks. www.bmrfabrication.com

GMS SFC's are awesome. They're a great price and the quality is incredible. I held a GP for them a while back and everyone was satisfied. If you want more info..feel free to email me. You can't beat the price.

Don't know if your car has T-tops or not, but if you do not have T-tops then I wouldn't bother w/ SFC's.
If you do then get a type which weld on. The bolt on type are not very strong and tend to flex the bolt fasteners when pulling serious g's or when motor torque is applied.

I don't think I've ever heard anybody complain about any SFC. So I say get what fits your budget. As long as they are welded in.

Slp bolt on's and there is no need to weld them, I've been real tough on mine in the curve's and they haven't come loose at all.

The whole point to installing SFC's is to add rigidity to the chassis. Bolt-on's may be fine, but welding will add much more strength.

Just don't buy bolt on's and have them welded it's just a waste of $$
