what is the best shift time for my stock 2000-SS..hurst 12000 miles,jam it to third?at 5.8 on the tach doesnt work.i slip to fifth every time,its pissin me off..why wont this car shift to 3rd under hi rpms..?..i dont like to beat up on this car..im far from a kid at 36...just looking for some advice..any help will be nice thanks jk.....

well some people have been talking about some sort of baffle in the fluid lines for the clutch and that you can drill it out and it will help the shift to third. Maybe someone can enlighten us....

or you can try and new shifter the factory hurst isn't that great...

I'm not quite sure I understand the question. Are you wanting advice on how to shift or best shift points?
If you are looking for shift point info then your best bet is to shift right before fuel cut off. You can get a bit more detailed and get the car dynod, go to a shift point calculator on the net and enter your tranny ratio and hp per rpm. It will then spit out the best rpm to shift at for however many gears you enter into the equation.

Buy the B&M ripper shifter. Trust me you will never miss a gear! You might want to check your synchros as well.

2000 SS m6 Borla exhaust, hooker headers, mac ypipe(no cats), B&M ripper, Hypertech PP3
