I recently installed the Harlan Shift Light. Just wanted to pass this additional information to others. I emailed the info to www.installuniversity.com , but I'm not sure if they will add it to their install documentation.

Here it is: http://www.machinevelocity.com/shiftlightsupp.htm

I can only get my shift light to come on at 5800 RPM. I've tried setting it up as a 4 cylinder as the directions say and 8 cylinder and only get 5800 RPM. Has anyone else tried to set the light to come on at say 5000 RPM?

If you have an LS1, you need to use 4 cylinder mode. When you program it, make sure to get the DIP switch settings correct per the included chart and make sure it flashes the number you are setting it to back to you. I didn't try another setting, personally.

Duh to me. I didn't press and hold sw 2 after setting the rpm dip switches. Works now.
