Has anyone used this? Is this as good as they have in the shops? Does it cover almost everything?

I have one it works really well. It is useful to see what effect any mods you do have on the car.

I've had mine for a couple months and like it. It doesn't compare with what the shops have...and for less than 1/10th the cost, I didn't expect it to. But it will scan any trouble codes (and clear them if you want). It's still fun to monitor some of the many, many parameters the computer monitors. I still don't know what 3/4 of them are but still get some useful info out of it. They also have a message board that offers some informative reading to help figure things out.
One of the big reasons I bought it was to record info during track days. I'm in the middle of writing an application that synchronizes the Autotap data with video from the track day and displays them both on the computer. That way, I can see how fast I was going through each of the corners, at what RPMs and how I was using my throttle.
