Hi all! Well after 3 dealers and two weeks later I've gotten an answer to that pinging noise I would hear now and then when the engine was hot and it was hot outside. Every dealer checked the car top to bottom and said all was in order, but I still needed to know why! Chevy called and doubled checked with each dealer and then called me to inform me that what I was hearing was indeed normal; it's the on board computer adjusting to meet required emissions as temps change. I was also told this becomes apparent when mileage starts building up and I also do alot of traffic driving. Chevy, in order to ease my mind that there would be no engine damage is going to do a nice thing to my protection plan for the engine. That big load of stress is gone now, and it's good to be a happy pappy again!!!
