I know about some of the LS1's having a piston noise at start up but have any of you had a higher pitch tapping at cold start up that sounds like a lifter or rocker arm tap?

I've read on some other boards that the injectors make a tapping noise also. I think it's normal for LS1's.

That noise you probably hear is the slight piston slap especially if the noise goes away when warm.
