Has any one ever had bad problems with their t-tops? Mine are VERY noise when driving down bumpy roads or even taking slight turns. I've looked into SFCs, but I dont know if these will help that much..the car barely has to be moved for the t-tops to make noise( i.e.- They crack and moan out of my driveway) Just wondering if anyone has ever taken theirs apart and insulated them on the frame or anything at all. Thanks for the help.

Try using some silicone lub on the weather stripping. SFC and a STB will help too.

My t-tops would creak just a little....not too terribly bad, but enough to notice; and they were quite difficult to put back in....I'd really have to work at it.

Along comes DGoetz SFC's.....I know I sound like a broken record, but you would not BELIEVE the difference!! They NEVER make a sound now....plus, they practically jump back into place when I put them back in!!

T-tops are so similar to verts....the bodies twist ever so slightly anytime you run over rough railroad tracks or hit a nasty pothole....and over time, this causes miniscule differences in the way they line up, but enough to make them rattle & make you crazy....

There are several threads on here about them, with glowing testimonials. You will not be disappointed with Don's work or his integrity.....and I think your problem will be solved! [Smile]

In cold weather it is not unusual for a t-top to squeak.Try the silicone lube as mentioned before.I believe even the owners manual states to put that on the weather stripping also. Lube the locking pins too.If they are dry it could cause a squeak when the body flexes. [Smile]

Take some dielectric grease and lubricate all the rubber seals. Get a Shock Tower brace and you'll have no more creaks and groans. Some Sub Frame connectors will complete to the stiffening process. se my sig for details.

Grease...yes a short term solution to a common problem.

Squeaks are generated by two surfaces rubbing against each other.

You can either make the surfaces slide against each other easier so less noise is generated or prevent them for moving in the first place.

Obviously one way is less expensive than the other and will not improve the perfomance or comfort of your vehicle.

You are welcome to email me for further details.
