Hey guys i just recently installed a t-5 in my camaro...few quick questions.
1) I was told by a few people the fluid to use is lucus brothers automatic trans fuel, and i was told by a few people to use gear oil for the trans....what do you all use or is recommended?
2) The person who sold me this trans said it worked fine in the camaro it came from...Its a beutiful trans, makes no noise, BUT its alittle rough going into gears at times. When i drive normal it shifts pretty good into gears but if i rev the engine to its maximum capacity and try to shift it wont let me untill the rpm's are low wich defeats the purpose of romping on it. Any feedback on my problem and question is much appreciated [Smile] thx

Most of the manual transmissions since the 1980's have been using automatic trans fluid. That helps with fuel economy and in cold weather your shifter won't be hard to move into gear. I bet that trans used automatic trans fluid when it was new. [Smile]
