SLP has a new unit that leaves the traction control OFF instead of turning it on every time you start the car. It is a little high in price though I think, $49.95. Sounds pretty cool!

I have do-it-yourself procedure that you can do for about 20 bucks, for a few parts at Radio Shack and WalMart.

I have a hardcopy, but not the link. I'll poke around and see if I can find it.

For drag racetrack only applications you could pull the ABS fuse. That's what they do at Bragg-Smith to demonstrate how good the ABS system works.

I don't think any of us were brave enough to disengage the ASR while on the road course. It gave great insight for why it is banned from so many forms of racing ... I've gained a whole new appreciation for it.

Just wait 'til the first $$$ lawsuit from some SLP user who sues after a lost-traction injury accident 'cuz the ASR defaulted to OFF, instead of ON as GM supplied tthe car...

It's much the same as disabling the automatic seatbelts provided on some cars...

you know for 49.00 i can think off other stuff it not hard to push a button to turn it off. don't be so lazy by a skip shift instead or a spark advance foe the mass air sensor.

I would go for it if it also changed the dash indicator from a yellow ASR off warning to a green ASR on indicator. I have no problem oressing the off button, I just don't like driving around with the warning light.

If you mean the indicator light, I just don't like yellow or red indicators on, it makes me think I'll miss a real warning and cause damage.
