I was on my way home and I saw this car coming up on me fast with the Yellow EyEs on and then he pasted me ( i'm in the GTP ) It had Borla tips and Sounded WoW.... so I speed up and get beside him and he looked over and gave me a look and then took off...I tried but that dam thing just LEFT me like I was going backwards. next light I get next to him and I asked if he had any work done to it and he said yes....... He just picked it up from LINGs so we played some more between lights and then I ask what he had done and its a TWIN Turbo.... WOW WOW His plate said Wisconsin so he had a long drive ahead of him (fun to )anyway the cars Boost was set at 475 HP he said, but he didn't know what Boost that was. He also said he had a knob he could turn to change the Boost...(under hood or in car) I dont know....to sume up the 30 min of play time with this car I would have to say FREAKING FAST.......the car was a 6 Speed BLK hard top with chome rims.....
$$$ i think he said $8,000 but that seem low.
I wish I had the Hawk it would of been fun.

The LS1 ProCharger turbo kit stage II goes for $5300 and gets you 441 hp
The Incon Twin-Turbo 88-ITT700 Kit goes for $7000 and gets you 700 RWHP, or you can tame yourself down to the 88-ITT450 Incon Twin-Turbo Kit $4400 and get 450 RWHP

If I remember correctly, and someone please say so if I make a mistake, the stage 1 Lingenfelter twin turbo C-5's are good for 500hp and 500tq. The cost is about $20k for the mods. The stage 2, which was recently tested on Car&Driver Television made 650hp and 641tq. It cost about $40k for the mods. The tested car also had a big-time brake, suspension, and wheel/tire upgrade that added to the bottom line. The total turn-key stage 2 came in at a little over $100k, which included the cost of the car itself.
The stage 1 is basically a bolt-on. The stage 2 gets into engine upgrades for reliability.
I'm sorry to say my friend, that even in the 'Hawk, or my '01 SS, we might have had fun, but we'd still have been suckin' fumes. Unless of course, if you have some really serious upgrades of your own. The Lingenfelter cars are just plain baddddd. I wish...

I beleive Incon makes the turbo kits that Lingenfelter uses You just dont get the name, and tuning

I thought his TT car was 115K? Car and Driver did a test and had to spray down the track in order to get a accurate time. Low 11's poss. 10's with traction. Hell yeah it fast.

That Lingenfelter twin Turbo was over 100K. I don't remember the final number but I do remember they clocked it a 220 MPH and had problems with traction in the 1/4. Mean machine for sure!! Maybe someday....... dreaming!

I taped the show...It went 225 mph one way and 220 mph the other. The average was 223. They had to lay down traction compound because with 650 hp and 641 tq, it was simply overwhelming the drag tires. It ran an 11.09 at 130+ in the 1/4 and did a 3.3 sec 0-60. The car cost around $105k with all of the goodies. It had a modified suspension and brake package, new wheels and tires, exhaust system, plus all the motor work. Like the show said, you get no warning with a car like that...WOOO HOOO

And clutch! It did a 10.9 at ~130 in Bowling Green when the Stage II first debuted. From what I heard from my "inside" ( ) source... it was a bit of a showdown between LPE and Calaway. Allegedly the Calaway boys were talking some serious smack about the Stage II and how it wouldn't beat the Calaway Vette. The LPE Vette prevailed... by cars, cars and maybe a bus or two.
