Going to install the new Lid this morning. Instructions say to disconnect the battery, remove MAF and IAT sensors, etc. Anything I need to know or will the computer re-learn when I start her up?

OK, got the lid on, verything is great except I did file the raised area where the two pieces are fused together so the clamp would seat better. Question; the sal seems to be fine without the gasket that came with the K&N, do I leave it off?

Thanks Hawk, I just couldn't see how the gasket was going to stay in place since it is so tight getting the lid on, but I'll install it this morning. I appreciate the feedback.

just press it on, it will stay and form a very tight seal. I also had trouble with the clips, but if you push the lid down and back at the same time it will seat itself and the clips will work just fine.

according to factory service manual there is
a idle relearn process if the battery has been disconnected (and of course clock and radio station memory). it is a slight difference between auto and manual tranny. look for a recent post on the slp website that describes the procedure. the post by tas may be entirely correct to just drive the car but the manual says otherwise.
