The first event of the 2001 season will be held at Carolina Motorsport park on April 21, 22.

I know this is a 1 day drive from Washington, DC, but for all you folk in North or South Carolina, Tennessee, and surrounding areas, this may be great for you.

Fees are: $179/day or $269/2day if you register before 4/9/01. After that fees are $239/day or $319/ 2day. Membership is necessary and that is $40 for the year.

To get registration forms, email nasaregistration@team.camaroz28.com or give me a call at 703-250-4906.

This driving school is set up for you to bring your street cars. THey do not have to be race machines as we've even had a Volvo station wagon at one event. You will be set up in classes equal to your driving experience. We have a fantastic head instructor who has done driving schools for Porsche and BMW clubs.

It is not race school. You will learn how to become "one" with your machine - learn it's hot spots and your low spots. It like going to Bragg-Smith on a smaller scale.

Anyway, it you have any questions, email me...

Lee

Uh DanA - you'll go to Nevada but will you come to Carolina?????

Your right Paul!! I am thinking about doing a little more traveling this year just so I can get to see Grumpy and Lee. That is the only place I can catch them, at tracks. But all myt friends will be at SLP day and I wouldn't miss that! Hopefully, I'll make more than just Lime Rock this year. At least I know that Lime Rock is a definite!!

Mornin' everyone.

Dan - checkout the NASA schedule below. There will be some events at a few new tracks this year.
The Summit Point-Jefferson Circuit will be a blast. It's a 1.1 mile track that is a handful, with 2 straights, an off-camber lefthander, a small chicane and a long lefthand sweeper. (that is if we run this course counter-clockwise)

April 21-22: Carolina Motorsports Park, HPDS and PARRC

May 5-6: Summit Point Jefferson Circuit, HPDS and Competition Licensing School

May 18-19: Rausch Creek (PA), HPDS and PARRC

May 26-27: VIR North, HPDS and PARRC

June 23-24: Summit Point Main, HPDS and PARRC

TBA: Rausch Creek (PA), HPDS and PARRC

July 7-8: Nazareth Motor Speedway, HPDS and PARRC

Aug. 4-5: Carolina Motorsports Park, HPDS and PARRC

Aug. 25: Lime Rock, HPDS and Competition Licensing School

Sept. 22-23: Summit Point Jefferson Circuit, HPDS and Competition Licensing School

Oct. 6-7: Nazareth Motor Speedway, HPDS and PARRC

Nov. 3-4: Summit Point Main, HPDS and PARRC

At the present time the Jefferson will be used for Advanced Road Race Driving School and not HPDS for both scheduled events.

Say tuned......
