Help! Stray cats got on my hood and put scratches all over it and the fenders. Body shop says over $900 to fix by repainting. What can I do to fix it? How can I prevent it from happening again? The car cover I've seen seem too thin to stop cat claws.

http://www.scatmat.com/Products/ScatMat/?pcontent=featpage Keep it on your hood for a few days, then move it to the rear deck lid, then the roof. After a few encounters with the mat, a cat will learn that a car is not something it wants to sit on.

The FIRST thing I'd do to fix it is get my shotgun and eliminate the source of the problem.
