Good morning, fellow Camaro enthusiasts!

I know there has been much conjecture about the 35th Anniversary
Camaro......and I'm sure that there will continue to be much discussion right up
until we pull the cover off of it at Camaros at Carlisle........

In order to "whet your appetite"......I am attaching excerpts from a note we
have sent to our field offices.....it does not answer every question, but gives
some info. about the car...... Our Chevy Dealer partners will not receive
ordering information on the car until after July 1.......for obvious
reasons........

Now repeat after me: "It is not purple............."

**************************************************************************************************************

On September 29, 1966, the world was introduced to a brand new car, the
Camaro........this summer, Camaro will celebrate 35 years of "Performance,
American Style" -- and we intend to celebrate Camaro's 35th Anniversary with a
limited edition model. While the Anniversary Camaro will be kept under wraps
until it is unveiled on June 30 at "GM at Carlisle" -- "Camaros at Carlisle" --
we offer you some preliminary information that will allow you to answer
dealer/customer inquiries. Additional details will be forwarded to you as they
are finalized..........."

Thanks for the post. It sounds to me that the 35th anaversery edition will be only paint deep. It may also command some price gouging early on until the dealers start to have a surplus on hand. I am relieved to know that the car I just ordered will not make me wish I had waited a couple more months an ordered a 2002.

Yeah, yeah, we know how much you love that piece of plastic.
Have you been practicing on your "Vette Salute"?

I will when I can get it out of the driveway! To be honest, the first day the roads are clear, I will be driving the SS. I miss it worse. I'll have to try my Camaro salute!
