Well it just so happens that I am working on a get together at RACE ROCK on April 28th. if you go over to the SLP Board and go to the Camaro SS section there is a topic called Impromptu get together in Orlando.
I am coming down there on Vacation and was planning on meeting a couple of fellow SS owners and next thing I knew we are having a nice gathering of people.
Let me know. I think we have 6 or 8 people now.

We have a local F-body club here in Orlando called the Central Florida F-Bodies (CFFB). We currently have over 100 members and have been in existence for about 2 1/2 years. We have a bunch of SS owners in the club as well.
We have a monthly meet/show on the first Saturday of every month at the Waterford Lakes Town Center in East Orlando. The show is officially from 7 - 10 PM but folks start showing up as early as 5:30 to get a spot. The meet we have is an open meet in that all years/makes/models are welcome although the F-Bodies pretty much dominate the event. At the meets, we have a DJ playing great new and classic rock, giveaways by some of our sponsors, and also give 2 trophies/plaques away at each show which is done by People's Choice voting. We give away one award for Best Classic Musclecar and one for Best New Generation.
Waterford Town Center ropes off an area in the parking lot that fits about 140 cars and we've been blowing this area out each month. Last month we squeezed in over 150 cars inside and still had about 15-20 on the outskirts of the parking area! We usually get the local Impala SS club, Corvette club, and Grand National club to join us as well as a bunch of Pro Street cars.
Our web address is down below, however our web site has been off-line for a couple of weeks due to technical difficulties with our server. Hopefully it will be back up later this week. We also have a club message forum as well that can be accessed from the club web page.
Let me know if you have any other questions and hopefully we'll see you out at our next meet on April 7th. Just look for the red 98 SS with the single left cannon exhaust and the "IT JAMSS" tag.
Oh, and one other thing. Membership in the CFFB is FREE!!
See ya!
Lou

Hey! Yeah, I'm in O-Town, too. I go to just about every one of the Waterford meets, and am going to Race Rock with the other cool dudes on April 28.
Hey Lou, I submitted a membership application on the CFFB site a while back, and never got any kind of reply or anything. Is there something I can do to become a formal member? Thanks!

I'll vouch for the Waterford show. It is a great visitor spot. I had a great time when I was vising Orlando and stopped in. I had to hide the mini van and sure wish I had one of my cars there but it was great to meet people like Lou, Bow Tie Boy, Chris, Scott and friends and of course the famous Kahuna B0. I would highly recommend getting over there.

As I mentioned, the CFFB web site has been down for a while so I don't know if Roger (our webmaster) ever got your info. Just e-mail me the basic info (name, car year/make/model) and I'll pass it on to Roger. When the web site is back up, check the member list for your name. If its there, great, but if not, don't worry, Roger updates the site whenever he can so I'm sure it'll be added soon. If you want to get a club decal with a number, you need to get in contact with Rick Cole of The Sign Connection (a CFFB sponsor). He can make you a decal with your number (assigned by Roger) in various colors for a reasonable fee.
See ya!

Will do! I submitted the info looooong ago (more than 2 months ago), but I'm going to email you the vitals right now. I'd like to get a set of decals, so I'll look up Mr Cole. Thanks for your help, and I'll see you at the Waterford meet.
