Ok Da`B*tch now has her 5K on the clock and its time to breakout the wrenches and wallet`s.
I`m looking for the best deal on Long Tubes, cats etc, etc.
I saw a page somewhere ??? that had the whole thing from header to Y as a complete set ??seems like it was under a grand, maybe even cheaper ? The Set was fully coated in and out.
Also need a shop in the FTW Tx. area to do the work,as I `ve lost my work shop and sold most of my tools etc.
Next:
Anyone do their own stock air lid mod ?
Any feedback/info on getting the MAF/TB ported ? (any trouble? / any real gains ? )

I have some actual knowledge on most of this stuff, but I`m looking for someone out there that has hands on experence with late model F-Mods.
I`m not after a sig. line just the real mods that work, none of that stackable HP crap.

TIA:
10Spk.

What you could do is look into MAC Long Tubes. I think they are most inexpensive out there. I don't know how much. I got a friend that has them on his TA His car with nitrous runs in the 10's. I think MAC's website is www.macprod.com

AS far as a shop. Where is MTI www.motorsporttech.com to you? How about Internet Racer Supply? www.racenet.net or even LG Motorsports. www.lgmotorsports.com

As far as the Lid is concerned. its a piece of cake. Should take you about 15 minutes to install it.

Good luck.

Thanks for the links.....
But on the air box mod I was refering to modding the stock lid with a dremel* and some epoxy for the corners type stuff ??
I`ve seen the after market offerings and I`m just not sure the expense justifies the minimal cfm (?) differences between the two ??
I`m working on an idea for an air box scoop right now,but getting measurment/clearences with the hood closed is kinda tuff !!
Anyone got their SS motor out ?? LOL!!

try T.Byrne. I think he has a GP going for some FLP's. Check the GP section...and the Garage Sale section.

It would probably be easier just to shell out the money for the lid instead of modding the stock one. You could probably pick up a used one if you checked out all the websites like www.ls1.com and www.cz28.com

I think the lid does make a difference, minimal but it still does the job. Also it looks a lot better than stock.
