Got a nice lady SDPD officer to sign off on my front plate yesterday. I used the SLP bracket that is intended to bolt under the front fascia, but I used industrial strength velcro!!! It works fine. I keep the plate on the bracket in the SS and hope the cops will leave me alone. I've talked to several people, including SS folks and a Cobra driver, and they either are running no plate and have never been hauled down for it, or in the case of the Cobra pilot, stopped once and still running no plate in front. I must say though that if you have to have a front plate, the SLP bracket is low enough that it doesn't interfere with the look too much. I'll post a pic in the future.

Pretty cool! I lived in Huntington Beach for eight years and did not run a front plate on either my second or third gen Camaro. Never got a ticket. I guess it is just which cop you come across on what day.
