Wondering, if I am just an ugly guy (I drive with dark shades and cap) or do other folks think the SS attracts more guys than girls??
I drive my 2000 SS Vert, and always get a guy scream or blow horn, but hardly ever get a girl to get excited about the car, maybe the girls don't care about sweeeet cars in Orlando, FL?
Anyone else feel this way?? (and no, I don't drive in "guy only" areas)

I totally agree with you. All of my guy friends love my car, but my girl friends think it's too loud, too aggressively styled (and driven, I might add), and cramped. I told them to try winning a drag race in a Caravan.
I think the reason is that the guys appreciate the 320+ horses under the hood, while the girls see it as another sports car. Maybe I should rice it up to make it more unique

My wife feels the car draws too much attention ... guys and gals .... says it feels like we're in a parade any time we cruise the main strip or the parks.
I keep telling her; "don't worry ... it's not us they're looking at."
I would say though that guys in general appreciate the car more for what it is mechanically.

It's always that way!! I guess you can say guys like it cause they know what a SS is all about. Brut power. Young guys like it because of its power and looks. Older guys like because of that too, but also its heritage!! But let me tell you what is a real head turner. I let my girlfriend drive my SS!!! And it only happen once because of this. She went to the gas station for a pack of smokes and said she litterly was attacked by men whistling, asking questions, and wanting her phone number. She said it never happened to her in any other car she has owned. And it wasn't like she was all dressed up. So, I quess you can say only guys are attracked to the car. But thats okay! Cause girls that are attracked to cars, like a Porsche, are only gold diggers. Now I don't want no flame wars, so let me say this also. There are girls out there that understand what a SS or WS6 Trans Am are all about. They are just few and further inbetween. Which makes them that much more special.

I get so much attention in my SS it's almost embarrassing. It's always these young little girls like 18/20. I get in trouble at least once a week from OLD GAL when some chicky baby pulls up, roles her window down and says something about the car. I show her my wedding ring and that usually gets the message across that I'm not that kind of guy. Sometimes I feel like I'm in some kind of a rock band or something. Loose the hat Joe, try to look OLD.
I suppose it's that mature look.

When I drive the SS, it gets me lovin' every time! (from my husband that is...but now that I think about it, that happens even if I drive our '88 Voyager mini-van! - hmmmm, I guess it's not the kind car after all.)

Thanks for the kind words 1QWKLS1SS. I always get a chuckle from watching the reaction of a guy when he walks me to my car for the first time. They don't put the SS together with a tall, blond woman in a dress and heels...lol!

I agree I think the're to busy eyeing the kid with the honda and the 500 LBS of stickers to know what a real car is all about... (why mustanks are smoking compaired to f-body and vett sales im sure of it)

I'd say both. I have had car's full of ladies scream at me in my car, even had one jump in at the drive threw window at Rally's once. However, I get the most questions from guys. Mostly asking what it has under the hood, what I use to shine it up, etc.

It just flat out gets attention, and the loudmouth isn't on yet. Either way I love it but then again, I didn't by this car for looks I bought because I love the car.

In my neighborhood, if it ain't a four wheel drive five feet off the ground it ain't worth looking at. I get more teens looking at my cars than anything else.
