These are a metallic (brushed chrome) decal that can be applied to your calipers. Mine are holding up very well so I would venture to say that the calipers don't get hot enough to affect them. This material is often used on vehicles and signage, so they are very weather and heat resistant.

Anyone who is interested can e-mail me at mark2000ss@home.com

Please include your name, address, and telephone number so I can keep track of everyone. The cost will be $20 for a pair. That price includes postage and installation instructions. I will talk to my supplier to see how soon I can get some going. In the meantime, e-mail me to get on the list.

There have been a lot of questions so with this I'll answer a few:
They're made from the same material often used for lettering on vehicles (ambulances, etc.) and holds up quite well in full sun in summer so I'd venture to say they'll be fine. To be honest, I obviously haven't done any 'government testing' on them so... even I don't know. I do know that the material is made to withstand some pretty harsh conditions. The calipers get hot but we all know you can't fry an egg on them, right?
Mine are holding up just fine under normal driving conditions. I only use soapy water on my wheels. I have no need for harsh chemicals. Time will tell. I'm sure they won't last the life of your vehicles, the calipers themselves likely won't. Afterall, its just a sticker and can easily be replaced. Maybe a good reason to buy an extra set for a couple years down the road...

I recommend these for painted calipers because thats the "look" and because the texture of an unpainted caliper might be an obstacle for proper adhesion. I don't know for sure. I only know that mine are painted and the decal sticks quite well, so that's what I recommend. Use at your discretion.

I'll count up how many are needed and get them into production this week. I'll send everyone who e-mailed me a note on how to pay, installation, prep, etc. this week as well.

The Trans Am decals still require the artwork to be done so be patient and I'll let those who requested them know when I can get them. I'm also looking into a couple colors for those who requested red, white or black.

The photo you see is of my stock caliper painted with Plasticote caliper paint from Pep Boys. What I'm selling is the lettering only. The rotor is a KVR cross drilled with zinc plating. The decals are for the front TWO calipers only because the rears are too small. Besides, that's how it is on the Vette which was my inspiration.

I hope this helps. I'll be contacting those interested this week. I'm hoping to have them all sent out within the next two weeks.

Thanks.

The calipers look good, but the five spoke wheels are even better. I just hope they are available with the 35th aniversary edition.

Orders received have been mailed. Camaro, Trans Am, Firebird and Formula are all available. Don't forget to specify.

I got a lot of compliments on mine at the car show I was at last night. People were amazed. Some said they thought I had special calipers. Cool.
