Hi Dan Nice pic of my car. But it is the last time you will see it at an ECCC event. I guess if you just show your car and don't paticipate in club outings & meetings you get the shaft.

I am truly sorry you feel that way. But, they had an independant judge that did not know who was members and and who wasn't. Also many of the members took their cars out of the judging, like Ken Howe. I though that was a nice gesture.
You're can is beautiful and the young lady you were with was very nice. I hope we can meet again at some other show. I don't go to many shows myself, I prefer the track and driving it. It was very nice to meet you.

One thing I've learned about car shows.....you can't go with the agenda of coming home with a trophy.
I know several people who have lots of trophies, but because of their attitude and quest to get one, they aren't very fun to be around and don't have many friends.
Sure, it's nice to get an award, but the whole point of it all is to gather with other people, make new friends, see how people modify/care for their cars and just relax and have a good time.
If you go into it with that attitude, an award is just a bonus, not the goal.
You'll enjoy yourself more and go through a lot less antacids.
Don't sweat it. The measure of your success isn't how many trophies you collect.....it's the friendships you form by being part of the club.
Seriously, very well put and I agree completely. I go to very few shows and I just go to enjoy all the great cars and meet new friends when I do. I neve expect a trophy.
Having said that, the gentleman who posted has one very outstanding looking ride. The black finish was one of the best I have seen. It was really nice. The only real difference I can see is that I HAVE to drive mine. His convertible is very well done and looks great. No overstated and very clean. We had a nice chat and that is our point. Hopefully I met a new friend that I will see again at other events!

The point I am making is that it is about the cars and should only be about the cars. I watched the judge spend about 10 seconds on my ride and go the next one. And yes the judge is indeed a member of ECCC...

The (2) judges were NOT members of the ECCC. I'm sorry you feel that way. There was alot of beautiful (4th) generation camaro's there.Remember the club only gave out (3) trophys in each class. The forth generation was the largest. Most of the ECCC members wasn't in the running for the awards.Going to car shows is to have fun and enjoy everyones company.Sometimes you win and sometimes you don't.Don't take it out on the judges, they did a great job.
