No baby yet. The contractions slowed after 7am so we have not gone to the hospital yet. We had her regular doctors appointment today, she progressing slowly.
We will check into the hospital in about 4 hours depending on the contractions. They have picked up again to 5 min apart, but she is only 2 cm dilated.
Doc said come back in a few hours.
This could take another 8 hours Poor wife.
She's still in good spirits, and trying to sleep. I'll post a late night update when there is news.

Been there, done that, got the tee short. Here is a good story for you. After we had our first few, we had a doctors appt and now we are pros. We call the doctor's office and tell him we are getting close. He says, come into the office so I can check (yea, like Grace didn't know what the story was). We get there and he says, you are close, go to the hospital. I get the bright idea to try and avoid traffic and go a different way. We got lost for a while. I was getting nervous. We finally found it and everything was fine. This was before cell phones. I was about to stop at a phone booth and call the police. after all, I didn't want a mess in my car!

I hate to tell you this but it could be a lot more. This is actually the easy part. I have a huge respect for women after seeing 5 births (on a twin birth). She has the hardewst part to go yet. Get ready Kev, you gotta support her big time and she may even abuse you! She is doing the right thing. rest whenever she can, because the hard work will wear her out completely. Better to rest when you can. But, being the first, I am sure you are both so excited that rest is tough!! I am thinking about you every minute. It is the most exciting thing that can ever happen in your life and I can't wait to hear you try to decribe what is impossible to describe when the time comes. I am gettin a tear in my eye just reliving it all. (Don't tell my hockey friends about the tear!). I am with you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm thinking of Kevin & Corina and J.R. and Natalie a lot this week......their lives are about to change dramatically!
All these babies.....Just think.......someday their kids will be chatting online and will say they know each other because their parents were on the same internet website and car club together.
