Reading the maintenance schedule in the book, does anyone know of anything else on a MN6 car that needs to be done besides changing the air filter. I recall a dealership sending me a list of maintenance things they did to cars and different intervals, and recall something about a chassis lube.. I noticed when I get out of my SS (w/ 18,500 miles on it) that I get a little suspension/spring squeek when I get out or get in.. the car goes "sqeeeeeek" just a bit.. what do you folks do to lube.. and what primary things need it.. is it mainly the control arms in the back?

Just curious..

Find a dealer that actually does the "40 pt inspection" when you take the car in.

I can't find anything other than hinges to "lube" in the Helm manual and wonder what the dealer means by a "Lube", oil and filter.

Hi there!
It's the same as the 3,000 mile...lube, oil and filter, fluid levels, chassis lube, tire pressures & inspect undercarriage...also rotate and balance tires, emmission service and battery and cable service...Mike didn't put my KD's on till 7,000 miles so my tire rotation is different...I'm also around 18,000 miles...hope this helps...

Isn't there also some Limited Slip Differential service after 7500 miles?

I don't remember seeing it in the manual, but I thought I read something about this somewhere...

That's for the Auburn ... I believe it's in the SLP Supplement.

Hey, at 15,000 miles, I have that same little squeek. The only time I hear it is when I'm getting out of the car in the garage, or when I'm getting the T-Tops out of the trunk in the garage. Strange, but that's the only time I've ever noticed it.

As far as maintanence goes, I don't know what there is to lube. I can't find anything in the owners manual. I asked my dealer a few months ago, and they came up with no information on the differential, and said the M6 is good for the life of the car.

Lifetime lubrication is a concept that is VERY hard for me to grasp!
