What do I need to get to clean the white leather in my car? I try to wipe it down all the time, but it just gets filthy. Any help is appreciated.

The best cleaner I've used so far is Mothers, haven't tried Zaino. Which ever you use, put the conditioner on afterwards, that will make it much easier to clean later.

We use Zaino, but the best thing is to prevent the seats from getting dirty in the first place. Use a couple of white Terry cloth towels sewn together to make a seat cover.

I've had success with the athletic shoe cleaner. Just make sure you condition them after cleaning. As stated above, seat covers are the best way. Use velcro on the sides. It makes it easier to get on and off.

I used to use Eagle One, but have since switched to Zaino Z9 and Z10... great stuff, plus it makes your interior smell like leather again

I use lexol for conditioning. Seems to be better than some others.
I like the smell too.

Hey JeffR,

I had a '97 30th Z28, White with Orange Stripes, White Leather, and White 5-spoke Wheels. I can certainly empathize with the trouble it can be to keep these seats clean. I used Lexol cleaner and conditioner on the seats. The cleaner works very well and I never had trouble keeping the seats looking like brand new. In all honesty, though, I have to confess that I am somewhat of a detail freak and it is seldom that my vehicles get more than slightly dusty

Congrats on your Hugger Orange. I love that color. I've seen only two since the color was introduced, one was a VERY, VERY dirty t-top coupe and the other was an immaculate SS with Chrome ZR-1 5-Spokes I spotted at a local country club as I drove by.

Lexol should do you fine. You may inquire of a professional detail service to see what they recommend. That's how I found Lexol.

Good Luck,

Andy

Thanks for the advice. I do try to keep my entire car spotless whenever I can. The problem with the seats is that I work outside all day and sweat my butt off. I guess when I get in the car and the back of my legs rubs on the bottom, it gets pretty dirty. I usually wipe the seats off as soon as I get home, but sometimes I have no time. Another thing I noticed is that the seat belt gets the top/side of the seats very dirty. I think I am going to go pick up some lexol and give it a try. Thanks again.
