The server moved earlier this week as you noticed. I need some feedback on whether the speed is acceptible and how it compares to the previous site (before Sunday). Is the speed comparible? Is there lag? Just need the FYI in the speed and availability department. Everything looks good, but I can't be sure without response.

The reason I need brutal honesty, is because I actually moved the entire site along with my other sites to my home office.. and actually built my own linux box, dns machine, have a cisco router and bought a second new machine for my normal use.. and I took great care in building the network, along with the web servers and everything.. and performance and bandwidth is the key element to the experience received while using this site.. everything seems ok.. but I wanted to be sure.
Thanks for the update..

I actually feel it's somewhat faster...and maybe more than just a little...we get jaded with our fast connections these days...

The site seems a bit faster. That may very well be a result of not having the advertisements running. What kind of line (ISDN, DSL, T1 etc...) are you running the site on? If it the same as before the upgrade, then I would not expect to see a huge increase in speed. Glad to hear you selected some quality hardware. The CISCO hardware is very high quality and reliablity is top notch.
Just curious, did you look at any of the Nokia High Speed Router equipment when making your decision? I work for Nokia and we are getting some very favorable reviews in the technical rags.

About the same to me. I am on dial up so everything is a little slow.

Text loads in about the same time, but photographs are painfully slow. When the indictor at the bottom of the browser window says 100% I usually hit the stop button. Most photos show up only as icons, but I've seen most folks' cars often enough.
Sometimes the "Sit tight, we're returning you" function does not work.
That said, the SLP board is just about the same, speedwise.
BTW, I'm using Netscape 4.76 on a UNIX box running HP-UX with a corporate T1 connection.
