It seems my steering wheel vibrates a bit once I hit 65 mph in the SS. Not really bad, just slightly. It does not do it at all until I get around 60. I just noticed this on a newly paved (that means flat) road. My SS is a 2000 with 7600 miles on it. I have the stock SS suspension. Anyone else notice this? I've had a car that shimmied before, but it was super bad at any speed. Just wondering if past experience is making me paranoid.

Thanks,
Darren

Sounds like a standard balance issue. A couple of things to check:
1. Have you picked up a stone or anything elsr in any of the tires?

2. Have you put air in the tires lately, sometimes you can pick up water from an air line.

3. Have you thrown a weight?

Check for those things, then just have the balance checked at the dealer, should be under warranty.

What DaddySS said is correct.

What about rotating the tires ( front to back as tires are directional ) and see if you notice a change?

Sounds like they need to be balanced. I have the same problem and I remember hearing one of my weights come loose last weekend. Big WHAM!! sound in the wheelwell. Scared the poopy out of me. I looked at the inside of the rim (static balanced) when I got home and the weight was gone.

Did the balance and had the tire pressure checked. Seems to be OK. We'll see how it works on the expressway here when I make a little visit to SLP in a week or so.
