Corina, Jonah & I were on our way back from her grandparents this evening, just after 7pm. A State Trooper goes by us (with radar off), hits his brakes, and turns around. I said to Corina, were are gonna get pulled over. She say's but we werent speeding, and we have our seat belts on. I said, honey, we have no front plate on the car. "Oh Yeah" she says. No biggie, it was bound to happen sooner or later.

Trooper - May I see your license & registration please?
S- Yes sir
T - Do you know why I pulled you over?
S - No sir. ( I did not want to be cocky and say I knew, best to play dumb sometimes)
T - You don't have a front plate on your car
S - Yes sir
T - Do you have a plate for the front?
S - Yes
T - You think your car looks bad with a front plate on it huh?
S - Yes Sir!
T - I understand, I have a Corvette, adn I don't like the looks of a plate on the front, but in my job I have to have one. You have a really nice car, how long have you had it
S - 1 year ago June
T - Where are you from
S - Binghamton
T - What do you use to POLISH it with?
S - Zaino
T - Where do you buy it (fumbling for something)
S - On the internet.
T - Well, you don't have to pay for shipping anymore
S -
T - I'm a Zaino distributor, heres my card. I am in Binghamton a few times a week.
S - I hardly run into anyone that uses Zaino around here
T - I know, I'm trying to get more people to use it. I expect you will order some from me, and if you know anyone send them my way. I learned about it on LS1.com.
(he gives me my license and registration back after hardly looking at them)
T - Have a nice evening!
S - You Too Sir!!!!

Corina looks at me in disbelief, "he just let us go"
S - Uh Huh.
C - He pulled us over in front of the State Police Barracks
S - Yup
C - hey, there's a black Vette (C5)
S - Damn, your right!
C - That must be his car
S - I think so!
C - Do you think he pulled us over for a sales pitch?????
S - ????Hmmmmmmmmmmmm?????? As a side reason, yeah!!!!

He was really nice. I still can't believe it

I guess I don't have to pay shipping anymore for my ZAINO

That's a hell of a lot better story than mine!!! I got pulled over back in the spring here in San Diego...just some SDPD cruiser cop with too much time on his hands.
It only cost $10 for the fix-it ticket and I'm still running no front plate.
I carry it with me mounted on the SLP bracket and I used industrial strength velcro from Home Depot to hold it on long enough for the inspection.
It would do again in a pinch although I wouldn't want to drive too far or fast with it.
