Hi Guy's Last night I went to the drag strip for the 1st time. (Should have been the 2nd time but my tire blew on the way to Milan for SLP day) I went with a buddy who has a 2000 Mustang GT. All I can say is what a great night! The Temperature was around 8-10 degrees Celsius which is fairly good I guess. For everybody who has not done this it really is alot tougher than it looks! It is not just a matter of mashing the pedal and shifting! (Most of you guy's already know this) Anyway, my best time was: R/T-.818 60'-1.920 1/4-13.557 MPH-103.84 I am really, really happy with those numbers especially for the first time! The only bad thing is how guilty I feel about abusing the car! I guess they are built to take some abuse now and then! Thanks Guys's just wanted to share the details of a fun night. Dave

That's a great run for your first time, especially the 60' time. Check my sig below for my first ever run. My 60' time choked compared to yours but she came on real strong on the top end.
My 2nd time to the strip I missed my 2-3 shift on the 3rd pass and decided to park it for the night before I wound up needing a flatbed to get it home.
I might try one more time this year. If I can do a better job launching it, I'm postive I have a very low 13-sec run hiding in there somewhere.
Have fun!!!
Andy

Thanks for the Reply's! I tried to run against the Mustang but we were never able to run up against each other. His best run was about 14.1. His car always feels pretty fast to me and I must honestly say I love the sound a 302 Ford makes! Thanks again Guy's , Dave
