I also would like to get some info on low restriction mufflers...I have a friend who put one on and says it feels like he decreased his power. Any suggestions for the right model?

A lot of choices. I am tempted to go with either the Dual Dual since it is "approved" by SLP or the Corsa because they look so damn good!
As for power, they all boast increased power, I have not gotten a good response from anyone (I've contacted them all)on the affects on low end torque, but all of the above will improve high end torque and hp over the stock setup.

I went with a Dynomax Super Turbo, it's a little louder (mines a daily driver, I don't want it too loud) than the stock SS muffler and flows better. I did get a slight SOTP increase.

I am running Borla in my car with no plate. I have had it on for over a year now. It's great. But you will bascially be happy with any of these. They all work out good. It just bascially looks and sounds.

SLP Loudmouth with a MagnaFlow inline 4" X 18" can muffler parallel to driveshaft. Very low restriction, just enough backpressure to keep the valves warm and stop the popping under decellaration. If I were only autocrossing, it would have been fine without the muff. Keeps it loud, and deep, but not too loud.I've heard the Borla, its nice too, but a little pricey. As to HP gains? I noticed a difference. Less restriction = more flow = more HP!

Black Beauty's a daily driver so I don't want a ton O noise...but I also don't want to loose bottom end...I understand that in order to keep it equal, you have to put more air in and then ease restriction, but I'm just looking for the best, most economical compromise. I'd like to change just the muffler if possible, to achieve the results, and keep the dual/duals. I would also think one of the stainless or aluminum mufflers would look beter under the rear end.

Andy, You've already got one of the best low restriction mufflers available. There's only one with less restriction (other than a cut-out) and that's the SLP loudmouth, and the difference in SOTP feel is minimal.
Try asking your question on the SLP message board. Lots of folks there have the loudmouth and nearly everyone loves it for the sound, not the difference in power.

Thanks for the good input Steve...I hope to see you at one of the Camaro club meetings before to much longer...been pretty busy with mobing into the new house and Suzanne's health issues...I might just go for the Loudmouth...
