How have you been driving since you got back?? Just curious, I know that my driving habits changed after I got back last year!!

Do you use Visual Scanning?
Do you heel toe?
Did you change your seaing postion?

Just wondering!

I've been wearing my helmet and apexing intersections as well as regular turns. Oh look at the time. It's time to go out and terrorize the populous once again.

YES! I have been hee/toeing, blipping, scanning and hunting for apexes like a dog in heat! My wife said that while I sleeping, I was heel/toeing and making rev sounds LOL! I also have changed my seating position. Damn, I can't stop smiling! I have been bitten!!!

I've ridden MAX (Portland's Light Rail Train every day since we arrived home. We even took it home from the airport.

Steve has been driving our All-Wheel Drive Astro Van all week. When he apexes his corners, it jumps the curb! YIKES!!! No heel-toe though...it's an automatic.

Heck yeah, I took the course back in April and I'm still doing it all.

I just changed my 1994 Z28 form an A4 to a MN6 and now, with all my mods, I'm ready to do it right!

Gonna' do a ton of road racing (legal kind) next season.

Wasn't too hard, but a lot of work...great "mod" though!

Come hell or high water, I'd LOVE to go with you all!!

BTW, if you've been there before...do they still put you through the initial braking, blipping trials?? Or can you just get a "refresher" and get out there for the fun stuff??

Our group this year was comprised of 1st timers and 2nd year repeats.

They had everyone go through the braking, shifting and blipping exercises. The newbies stayed in the paddock, while the blended 2nd timers hit the track.

When the 1st timers went on the track, the 2nd year people came in for advanced instruction (power circles, etc.)

All in all, each group got an appropriate amount of track time and classroom instruction geared to their level.

That was my perspective.....how about you participants?

As it turns out, I had been doing that before!

Do you heel toe?
Yes (in addition to the non-braking downshift bliping I had already been doing.)

What shocked me is that I can usually heal-toe blip in my SS without the Bragg-Smith plate; the stock throttle is just a hair too narrow for my Adidas. If it was about 1/2" wider, it'd be perfect for me. (And I've already picked up a spare pedal to modify... They're cheap: $2.50)

Did you change your seating postion?
Yes! Long gone are the days of the Dale Earnhardt super speedway all-but-prone seating position.

[Edit: boy I hate uub...]

Bragg-Smith was awesome. I was a bit intimidated not being a "stick" driver but I had a blast. I was in a level 1 class all by myself. I'm using the techniques I learned but they aren't quite the same in my Blazer, oops! I need to steal one of Neil's cars. It was great meeting everyone and thanks for posting all the pictures. See ya next year?
