After reading one of the latest posts, I'm wondering how many owners are leaving their cars completely stock. My friend, Dave Stokes, in Pickering Ontario has a '97 that is IMMACULATE!!! And STOCK!!! He'll change out the wheels for pylons but that's it!
As you can see from my sig, between Mike Grasso and I, we've made a few changes...nothing too drastic, but you know when you see #31 coming, that it's different.
Who'se keeping theirs factory fresh!

Not me. I swore when I bought it, I wouldn't touch anything. That lasted about two weeks. Then I was bit by the mod bug and am now seriuosly infected!

Nice sig!

Ditto that. Although, I did tell myself that I'm only doing as many mods as I can undo in a day (and I'm buying a factory replacement for any part I alter).

We planned on doing mods to the car from the day we ordered it, but only ones that could be undone without you ever knowing they were done in the first place, and if anything has been actually modified, we first bought a new gm part, then modified that and kept the original part untouched. I don't think many people leave them TOTALLY untouched, but great question, and i am curious about the responses you will get.

Mine is completely stock. I won't change anything unless it breaks or until the warranty runs out in a year and a half. Nothing's broke, so nothing's been modified. I don't take it to the track, so the stock power and torque is all I need on the street.

My first Camaro ('86... still a daily driver w/ 186k miles) is quite modified because as things wore out, better goodies went in. I'll do the same with the SS but I'm putting so few miles on her, I'm not sure I'll be modding much for a few years.

I had every intention of leaving it alone as well. That lasted till I found this group, then all hell broke out!

I've also kept all the stock stuff and for the most part can be put back. Hard to unweld the SFCs though.

It was gonna stay near stock, except for very basic bolt-ons. That's all history now, like Hawkeye, I found the message boards.

With the trips we make it's gonna be a high miler anyway, so within reasonable economic constaints, anything that will make it go faster, handle better, safer, improve travelling comfort or make in uniquely mine is fair game
