Does anyone out there know if/where I can buy new Factory Painted panels for my SS? (How about through SLP? At least the hood?) I want the same quality paint job on my replacement panels as the rest of my car. My exp. with Body Shop painted panels is they weather differently and in time don't match.

The problem is shipping something as big as a hood without paint damage from the box. I don't think any company would guarantee and painted item that big against damage.

my advice would be to find a new body shop. In my experience, a good body shop can easily give you a paint job that is much higher quality than the factory. And no orange peel to boot!! I would take the money you would use for shipping expensive parts and invest in a good body shop.

Whoever said you couldn't run away from your problems obviously wasn't driving an SS.
