I just finished re-installing my rotors and
calipers on my '99 SS after removing them to
paint them and install the camaro decals.
No sensors were touched or unplugged at any time.
Prior to removing everything, I never had a
problem. With that said, after re-installing
all the calipers/rotors on the exact corner they
came from (they were all labeled) I have two
lights illuminated on the dash. When I took the
car our for the first time Saturday, the ABS and
the ASR lights were on. The car stops fine (the
brakes were all bled thoroughly after being put
back on the car) despite the lights being on.
I did detail my wheels wells, struts/springs,
etc while the wheels were off but I
never used anything but a light mist of simple
green and some shop towels to remove loose dirt.

Anyone have any ideas as to why these lights came
on? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John

My guess is that either something is unplugged, or you have air in your abs system(VERY easy to get air in, hard to get it out). Scan the BCM to see what codes come up. If the abs has a problem, it will make the asr inop also, since they use some of the same components. Hope this helps, but with the limited amount of info I have, thats all the better I can do right now.

How do I get air out of the ABS system?
Just bleed the all 4 brakes lines more?

Thanks for the reply,

John
