OK I got my new slp loudmouth exhaust today and had the dealership install the system for me. they took a good amount of time to install it becuase i wanted the old exhaust all in 1 piece so they had to lower the rear and all to get it out. after they did that they installed the new system and they took it for a drive to see how it sounds...well they were afraid to come up to the counter to tell me that the left side pipe fell down becuase the pipe was not in and they had to modify the opening to make the pipe slide in further into the other pipe. bottom line is the destroyed my new tip and they are on backorder from slp. my contact at slp is trying to get me another one at no cost but if they cant the tip alone is $60.00. i cant believe a tip cost that much. if anyone has one lying around and they would like to get rid of it....PLEASE contact me!
thanks again....
i just dont have any luck with this car lately!

FIRST MISTAKE! Taking it back to the dealership for anything. Most of these guys are just there getting their forty hours in, caring about your car is not hi on their priority list. Only took me about ten years and a bunch of messed up cars to finally figure this out. Find a good local custom shop that everyone goes too, here you will find people that look forward to having a nice car to work on. I have no idea about the NJ region, but doesn't SLP have a install shop there? They do in Michigan in Troy. Thats where I got my dual/dual Loudmouth put on my SS. I've got a pic around somewhere of my car in the garage there. I have to tell you, it was so cool, and they were so nice.
I'd have to agree with everyone, never take your car to the dealer to get any work done. They suck. They don't have any respect for your vehicle. One of the service people at where I bought my SS didn't know what I was talking about when I told her I wanted the fluid changed in the rearend differential. Granted, she's not the mechanic, but she is the go between.

Didn't mean to offend. Just the Service Advisor merry go around at my dealership has left some bad experiences in my memory. I drove an hour and a half to SLP. Waited there like 4 or 5 hours while they worked on the car. then drove a hour and a half home.

i know everyone has their opinions about dealerships but when i started in the service dept customers were happy to have a female taking care of their car for them i take the extra time to make sure that customers are satisfied with the work performed on their car. i drive every vehicle and make sure that the problem that they came in for is gone. i know what it is like to be the customer and i give the customer my complete attention and i have yet to have a customer that has been unsatisfied with my performance as their advisor. actually i just got my scores for last month and i scored 98 overall satisfaction. steve...i guess if i move to portland i will have the same tender loving care from you! i will look forward to that type of attention!

Hmmm, are you saying I shouldn't come and see you for repairs at the dealer anymore?? Just kidding. I am really lucky to have Ken and a good dealership that cares about my cars!! I read a lot of horror stories about dealers but I am sure there are a lot of good stories as well. You only hear the bad experiences.

Most if not all dealerships srvice advisors work on commision plus some kind of salary. So, they want to push high dollar services like tune-ups, motor changes, transmission overhauls, rear-end overhauls to get the big bucks. Me, I never take any of my automobles back to a dealership, been ripped off to many times in 58 years. Bad experiences, I could write a book, where do you want me to start. Nothing against the people personaly, its just what they get paid to do and not do! MOO4340 KICKBACK DALLAS, GEORGIA
