Seeing Corvette in there is rather ironic ... I was saying to Marion the other day ... I wonder how many of us SS folk will have Corvettes 5 years from now .... Scott starts it all by getting us to read "All Corvettes are Red" ... then Dan gets one ... then they "make" us meet in Bowling Green ... let us droll and drive at Bragg-Smith ... I guess my retirement will get pushed back a few years.

I love home made mac & cheeze. O.k....I'll change that original statement to 10/$1 Ramen noodles. Uck! We ate too much of that when we were dirt poor and single.

The following will be posted on the entrance page to www.slpeng.com this Friday:
April 5, 2002
To the visitors of our site,
Things are moving at a rapid pace as SLP Engineering begins its build-out of the 2002 model Camaro SS and RS, Firehawk and Firebird GT. At the same time, our new Ranger Thunderbolt program is being well received by our friends at Ford Motor Company and their nationwide dealer body.
On one hand, with the cancellation of the F-car, we’re moving into an entirely different market segment, youth-oriented performance trucks. However, due to our longstanding commitment to F-car and SLP Automotive Group enthusiasts, we feel it is important to share with you the status of our www.slpeng.com site and SLP’s upcoming F-car plans.
Your continuing business is critical to SLP’s success and, as such, work is already in progress to update the F-car section of our website and make it even better. As part of the restructuring efforts, we are adding a complete list of replacement parts for all of the vehicles SLP has been involved with over the past 10+ years, not just the F-cars. The improvements will help you surf the site more efficiently and determine the best upgrades and options for your vehicle(s). In addition, we’re taking steps to streamline the ordering process.
There will also be an all-new section dedicated to the history of our vehicles. Model year brochures will be available as well as information such as what options were available for a particular year and model, along with production statistics, e.g., vehicle body style and exterior color.
Looking ahead over the next couple months, we anticipate the release of several new Automotive Group products. How about a sneak peak, you ask? Well, that would be premature. However, if you think Blazers, Corvettes and Impalas, you won’t be off base!
We’re excited about these new programs, and a few others that we have up our sleeve. These programs are, of course, in addition to our current GTX package for the Grand Prix. By the way, GTX is being also revamped. More power and still more power is on tap for our favorite midsize sports sedan.
You can rest assured that the end of the F-car will not interrupt or impede our support and flow of information to you. We value your business and loyalty, and as a result, will continue to bring you the ‘latest and greatest’ that we have to offer. Stay tuned over the next couple of months for changes and improvements to our site!
Warm regards,
Ed Hamburger President & Owner SLP Engineering, Inc.
