Well, I dunno how to put this, but...unfortunately, I was in a car accident this past weekend, and it was with my SS I guess for now I'll tell you the short "edited" version...
Well, I was on the Carlisle Pike in Central PA, where I live, it's a two lane road each way. A New Porsche Carrera was tailgating me for some time and finally passed me in the center turning lane. And then it cut in front of me and I was forced to change to the right lane and slammed ont eh brakes since a car was in front of me....slid on cinders and dirt or dust on the road and lost control of the car. It wobbled back and forth and then finally made a jerk and did a 180 and slid 10-15 feet into a parking lot and I managed to hit 4 cars. When I got out, the rear end was 1/2 inch from a telephon pole. Since it was my first accident it's been quite a scary and overwhelming experience. Oh, and I finally got an estimate of the damages- $7900 for everything. Although it didn't look bad, the underside was damaged, the guy said something about the steering needs to be replaced (I don't know too much about cars) But it will be like new once I get it back...just wondering how much my insurance will go up...I'm paying around 250 now a month for it. Guess I am just glad no one was hurt...neither me nor my friend in the car with me had a scratch and the air bags. It will take 2-3 weeks to repair. Maybe I'll have photos of the car if I can get them. Chat with you all later.

I'd press charges and see if you can find the guy. I'd think your insurance company will be wanting to find him.
Sorry about your car but glad you are OK.

Wow! Sorry about your car but glad to hear you are OK and the car is going to be back to normal. I drove on that highway when I went back there last summer. It seemed like a very safe road to me, although I am used to these crazy California drivers. I guess it just takes one idiot to ruin it all though...

NOT a good story, on the plus side(if you could call it that), there can't be too many Posche's like that around, call up the DMV.

The ASR was on, but really didn't do anything since I was pretty much just braking.

I can understand that. I dread having to send that check in this year. On the other hand, I am glad I have to send one. It is better than the current situation without income. I gotta get a job, this is longest I have gone without spending money on a car. Posts: 5946 | From: Litchfield, NH, USA | Registered: Feb 2000
