My wife and I just bought a new SS (see signature below). We are long time owners of 1st and 3rd gen's. I have enjoyed a similar site for 1st Gen's (camaros.net) and heard from Teri and "Steve da wrench" that this is the site for 4th Gen SS's. Looking forward to learning more about our new Camaro from all of you and maybe even returning the favor someday.

WOW! You bought an Anniversary car! Where did you locate it? Have you found out your SS # yet? SLP has a build # request area on their website if you'd like to find out.
Congrats and welcome to our little corner of the world. Now, to get you to caravan to Bowling Green with us in September.......(see sig).

Thanks for the welcome everybody! Teri, we bought it at Curt Warner in Vancouver. They had just got it in. Traded Kelly's '85 in on it. I haven't gotten our build # yet but now that I know how I will. Thanks.

Noooooo! The yellow car is gone? Rats! At least if you need a 3rd gen fix, you have your son's car to drive.
You will love the new one and won't miss the old one except for the color. (I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the Fbodfather won't let us down in the color department if the Camaro comes back.)

Oh no... Steve works on my car. LOL Teri, the kids IROC is going away real soon to. No 3rd Gen's in the family but that's livable when you have a '69 and a new 2002 SS. Still can't get the grin off our faces when we drive it!

Yeah, I know. It's scary sometimes. I just didn't put 2 and 1 3/4 together and get 4! Didn't look at the profile or nothin'! Hey, I figured it out on my own!
Yup, the F-bod father should be proud, we found another good home for one of his "kids"!!!

Teri, What do we need to do to join the SSOA? Ralph, A 2002 and a '69, my kinda guy! I almost bought an Olympic SS 396/350 car in Oregon a few years ago. If I had it to do over I would have as it was documented #'s matching and a steal at today's prices.

Just click on one of the membership application links in my signature (in one of my previous posts) and send it in w/$40. That is good for 2 years. Past that, it's only $10/year renewal. Your packet will have an SSOA antenna flag, a Super Sport Owners Association / http://www.camaroSSOA.org license plate frame, stickers, static decals, welcome letter from Chevrolet and best of all, a Letter of Authenticity for your SS, signed by Dave Hamburger of SLP. Just one more piece of documentation for the car. We have a whole album for ours! With membership, you'll get special member only opportunities at events across the country (like our special day in Bowling Green, Sept. 19, 2002) and discounts every now and then (like Bragg-Smith Advanced Driving School, etc. We also have a source for cool wearables and SSOA logoed goodies. I'll bring the wearables post to the top of the forum so you can see some pics.
