Just perusing some parts shops and found an intake I've never seen before, I'm assuming its a new product. It's the "Stealth High-Flow Airbox" being offered from Speed Inc. I like how it uses a larger Corvette air filter and it also comes with a new radiator shroud (with a larger opening). The system looks good on paper, does anyone have any experience or input on this setup? I'm currently running the MTI lid and was thinking about switching to the carbon fiber look (strictly for appearance), but I might spend a few extra bucks and get this setup if it helps a bit on the power side. Thanks all!

A customer had one installed before he came in recently on a 2002 LE. The only problem is, as you will note, there is NOT a seperate part # for the SS. Therefore, if you look after one is installed, it doesnt even come CLOSE to sealing to the hood, and leaves a HUGE gap above and around the box. It would be a nice setup IMO if they made one for the SS too.

Just so I'm understanding what it looks like, you are saying that the Stealth intake would NOT fit the SS given the dimensions of the hood? Or do you mean that the intake does fit under the hood, but would be too large to be able to get a sufficient seal around it so that the air flowing from the hood will shoot directly into it? Thanks!
Also, does anyone have pictures of this installed?

The one I saw didnt have a large enough baffle/seal area (tall enough) to seal to the hood on an SS due to its increased height in that area. So the air just goes over and around the air box, instead of into the filter with a ram air effect. I bet it would work great on a Z-28, or you could add some taller baffling to seal it to an SS hood, but it may look funny
