Last night, my buddy was following me, and said that everytime I mashed the gash.. (first time in
3rd gear).. he said my brake lights came on while I was hauling full throttle.

Then we did a test.. I left it in 1st gear.. mashed on it.. and he said that the brake lights,
including the one above my SS spoiler came on until I shifted to second.. WTF?

I am sure I was not hitting the brake.. weird!

bet it has to do with the sensor thinking you are on the brake pedal. check the brake pedal, seem ok?

Try to adjust the brake pedal switch. They are self adjusting ,so all you need to do is push the brake pedal down and hold it,then push the brake light switch toward to pedal arm and you should see the switch move foward a bit. when you release the pedal, the switch will self adjust toward the driver.

Hee hee! It's the sneaky, "fake & brake" feature that gives Mustangs the impression you're slowing down during a drag race, when really you just keep getting further away!
