ok so i am thinking about supercharging the ss, but i would like to get some feedback about what everyones feeling on different superchargers or which one people have had the most luck with in performance.

LeadvilleMatt on the SLP board has the ATI charger and he sounds thoroughly pleased with it. The Vortech requires cutting into the hood so that might make it an easy elimination.
If you get it done before BG, you're gonna take me for a spin in it, right

The Vortech kit has been very popular and will add about 140hp to your car (9# version). As mentioned above the underside of the SS hood will need to be cut to find this under there. I can send you a picture if needed. The ATI kit will fit under the SS hood with no modifications required. We have one on our '98 Z with a Suncoast SS style hood. This head unit has been upgraded to an F1 race blower making 17# of boost. So far the car has produced 602 rwhp with consative timing and running short on injector (using 50# but will step up to 72s).
If anyone is interesting in a Vortech we have a GP running until the end of the month. Just e-mail for pricing.
i am working on it as we speak, i ordered a few things for the ss to start with.....top secret project!
oh yeah i got my letters in purple metallic that say CAMARO finally. now i just need to decide which hood to keep the ss hood or the ultra z....hhhhhmmmmmmm
you will all see it at bowling green and i plan on being queen of the track here in NJ!!!!

so does that mean you also got the Purple 35th stripes too? the ultra Z hood is cool looking, but i would keep the SS hood. if i had a Z i would get the ultra Z hood.

already purchase the new set of rims for the rear tires to match the fronts and got my self a set of slicks in the garage waiting for the first race!
i am actually gonna have the stripes painted on the car. so it will last longer!
i know my ss will be bad!
my friend chris and i are gonna do the stuff over the next month before he goes back to scholl so the ss might have a little down time. but it will WORTH it in the end!

I guess I'll have to stay off the strip at Bowling Green now. Your car will be too much!!

There is a good article in Popular Hot Rodding magazine about blowers this month. Interesting stuff. It givs a lot of information about other things to think about when going with a blower

I know Lingenfelter has one also. You might want to check them out also. No sure if you have to cut the hood though.
