Stopped in for a peek at all the Camaros. What an awesome display. Everyone should try to see this show at least once.
Kudos to Greg & Kathy (2002Z4CSS)they worked their @SS's off this weekend - in the hot sun, so the show would run smoothly. We should all be proud to have them as members of the SSOA. I know others worked there as well, but I know Greg and Kathy and had to mention it here.
Every one going to Bowling Green should make an effort to meet them and say Hi!

Well...actually -no. I wasn't sure what to expect never been there before. I didn't register and by the time I got there to see the cars - after dropping Mary at the mall, the cars were parked all over the place, so there was no way to organize the SSOA. Next year I'll make sure that someone in their local club has the banner to display. Posts: 5558 | From: Windsor, Ontario. Canada | Registered: Feb 2000

Thanks Hawkeye! Glad that you made the trip to Camaro Superfest and thanks for the cold pop when I was dieing from the heat! Kathy and I get very involved in Camaro functions and the work is just part of the fun. I wished that other members of your club felt the same way! We could have used a bunch more helpers. There was only 2 of us originally classifing all of those cars and another Western Michigan Camaro Club member stepped in to learn the classifing process! Still was an all weekend job with 446 Camaros that needed to be classified! We had 456 registered. A new record and possibly a new world record for an all Camaro annual event! Too bad I never got a real chance to meet everyone of see all of the cars. You guys from Canada have to join the Ontario Camaro Club or Eastern Michigan Camaro Club. If all of the camaros there from Canada were in the OCC, they would have gotten 1st place in club participation. They did well with a 3rd place! Congrats to all of them! Is the event "just" a show and shine or are there also driving events?
The show is a show and shine, and on Friday nights there is a road rally cruise. Of course some people do decide to go dragracing at the local 1/4 on Saturday night or just cruising around.

If SLP CAD doesn't work out next year I'll consider this an alternative

I think you would like this show. The local track is about 15 minutes away from Domino Farms. You could always go there on Friday evening after the road rally!

Some of the "Events"
Thursday Night - Show & Shine in the hotel lot, then just good olde comradery in the parking lot till the wee hours of the morning.
Friday - Rally to HELL, fun event, but all the hard work on the show & shine get ruined, so you do it all over, and hang out in the parking lot again.
Saturday - SHOW TIME!!! 457 registered cars, 446 actually showed. Meet and greet, dyno sessions. That night banquet with speakers. Night time festivities in the parking lot till the wee hours again! Man does any body sleep?????
Sunday - More show. Awards in the afternoon, and then we have to go home Had a blast!
In a nut shell, had a blast, got dirty, got sun burnt, washed the car A LOT, drank too much, here great stories, met lots of people and missing wayyyyyy too many ZZZZZZ's
