Anyone have any advice on how to store wheels with tires already mounted on them? Should they lay flat (i.e. like a donut) or upright (like when they are on a car)? Can I stack all 4 on top of one another?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

THANKS!!

Steve, we store a few sets of tires and wheels in the basement stacked on top of each other. If storing for a long time, you may want to let some air out of them. If stored outside, keep them out of the weather, covered up.

Hey Greg,

Each wheel/tire is wrapped in a plastic bag and stacked on top of one another, stored in the basement. Just wondering if this was ok (especially stacking the wheels; won't the weight affect the wheel that is on the bottom?)

Make sure to bag them.... and keep them away from electric motors. So a nice dark corner is best. No problems stacking them up..... the weight isn't that much.... your car weighs a lot more then three rims and tires.

"and keep them away from electric motors"

May I ask the reasoning behind this?
