I know you guys have some experience in this area. Give me your thoughts and opinions. I'm leaning toward a Corsa exhaust system. Right now I have the stock GM exhaust with an 80-series muffler. I want a deeper, throatier tone at idle and prefer a tad bit louder at wide-open-throttle.

The SLP loudmouth, best exhaust, deep, loud and NO power loss as with a muffler and costs less. Looks alot better from the folks looking at the tail lights with no muffler hanging down too.

Kev, very good point about the visual from the rear w/no muffler but I think the Loudmouth will be too loud for me. I've heard some clips on the net(of the Loudmouth) and it just sounds too raspy for me.

oh god get the loudmouth. its great i love it its everything you described. it has that little rumble at idle then when you romp on it its LOUD!!!!!!!!!
its not that bad when u first get it it will sound really loud but u get used to it after a while.
i listen to 3 different exhausts and i went with the loudmouth because of the sound.

This is a tough one because there are many factors and many of them subjective.
Loudmouth is common because it's a good value and it's loud, but I gree that it is too raspy.
Corsa is expensive, looks great (tips) but not "deep" enough IMHO.
I agree about the off center muffler hanging down, it makes me nuts and the loudmouth and the GMMG solve that - especially if you have painted your rear axle assembly.
Best sounds I have heard to date are the hooker, dynomax, random tech, magnaflow - but I'm still undecided.
All the others - Corsa, loudmouth, GMMG etc. are too raspy.
Borla is OK and I have not heard enough of the B&B to form an opinion.
So....does that help?

There is only one way to know. You have to hear them. It is a very subjective situation. IT is a personal preference type of thing. If you can, try to rustle up some people that live near you and listen to the differences. I have found the best way to to do this is go to a local show or to SLP days. There is always a lot of different setups and you can compare for yourself.
Good luck. I am sure you will like whatever you decide on. For what it is worth. I have Borla and I like it. You can now get and electronic plate so you don't have to switch the plates. That is convenient!

hey ray where are you from i have the loudmouth and i have heard the the corsa and the borla. if i was gonna spend the money to get something above the stock exhaust i would go with the corsa. its deep enough and it dosent have the drone in the cabin of the car like the loudmouth. if you live in the ny/nj area i would be willing to let you hear the loudmouth in person. i know a whole bunch of us that have different exhausts on our car are gonna be going to bear mountain, ny on weds for a cruise night. so you are more then welcome to join us for that.(if you live in the area).
ps ralph has the gmmg on his car i think, ask him what he thinks. i like the way his sounds from the outside but i dont know what it sounds like on the inside.
Good Luck!
