the letters are metal inserts and the lens are are clear so i can paint them on the inside to protect the paint and make the car look solid like the markers and lights arent there!

...The letters (not the decals) can be located through RK sport ( http://www.rksport.com ??), When you say "metal" , ...if you're refering to the "chrome" ones, ...they may be plastic. They run about $50 for the set. (I've got the black ones, ...and they are nice)

don't know where to get the black metal letters, but here is what RKsprort has:
RKSport offers urethane letters that fit directly into the indentions on the Camaro rear fascia. Computer cut for a precise fit, these letters add style and class to any Camaro.
they're $55.00
Steve and Teri have the white ones for the rear.
hope this helps.

Might want to try Afterthoughtsauto, they have the good clear parking light and side marker lights. RK's do not look right for some reason, not like stock anyway. Afterthoughts also have the rear end letters that you are seeking, along with some other good stuff, like RACE GLAZE! KICKBACK 2000SS COUPE M-6 DARK BLUE MET., TAN LEATHER, CHROME TEN SPOKES, Z-28 CENTER CAPS WITH SS DECALS, BILLET GRILLE W/67' SS EMBLEMS, BILLET PEDALS, CHROME HOOD SCOOP, POWER ANT., GMMG CHAMBERED W/STOCK TIP, AIR LID W/AMSOIL FILTER AND AMSOIL SYNTHETICS: 2400 ORIGINAL MILES/DELIVERED 2/15/00 Posts: 251 | From: Dallas, Georgia usa | Registered: May 2000

the letters from Afterthoughts auto are reflective vinyl stickers, similar to that found on police cars and ambulances. the letters from RKSport are actual 3-D letters that fill in the indentions. they are either made of metal or urethane.

The letters from RKSports are about 1/8" thick. They fit really well and have a nice apperance. They are pressure sensitive. They are the best ones I have seen anywhere. I had them on my car when you saw it last.

You can also find the metal letters at http://www.mbaproducts.com/ They fit and fill in the rear letter indents perfectly. Available Colors/Finishes: Electro-Polished (has grain) or High Gloss Hand Polished (no grain) Precision die cut 3M adhesive tape supplied MADE FROM 304 STAINLESS STEEL These inserts are precisely designed to fill the rear letter recesses completely, making the installation fairly straight forward to center. Material thickness allows the letters to mount "flush". Much easier than the "stickers" on the market, better fitment than the other stainless steel letters currently available.
